About this exercise

The kettlebell lunge pass through is a dynamic lower-body exercise that combines an alternating lunge with a hand-to-hand kettlebell transfer under the lead knee. Passing the weight between hands at the bottom of each lunge challenges balance, coordination, and core stability while building unilateral leg strength.

How to Perform

  • Stand tall holding the kettlebell in one hand by your side
  • Step forward with one foot into a lunge, lowering your back knee toward the floor
  • At the bottom of the lunge, pass the kettlebell under your front thigh from one hand to the other
  • Push off your front foot to return to standing
  • Step forward with the opposite foot and repeat the pass in the other direction
  • Continue alternating legs for the desired number of reps
