About this exercise

The kettlebell incline triceps extension is performed lying on an incline bench, which shifts the stretch and loading angle compared to flat or overhead variations. This targets the long head of the triceps through a lengthened range of motion, making it an effective isolation exercise for upper arm development.

How to Perform

  • Set an adjustable bench to a low-to-moderate incline (around 30–45 degrees) and lie back against it, holding a kettlebell in both hands by the handle
  • Extend your arms overhead so the kettlebell is above your head with elbows pointing up
  • Keeping your upper arms stationary, bend at the elbows to slowly lower the kettlebell toward the back of your head
  • Stop when you feel a deep stretch in the triceps, keeping your elbows pointed forward
  • Drive through your triceps to extend your arms back to the starting position
  • Repeat for the desired number of reps
