Kettlebell Incline Palm-In Press

Step by step instructions, muscle activation and variants for the Kettlebell Incline Palm-In Press.

About this exercise

The Kettlebell Incline Palm-In Press is an incline chest press variation where the palms remain facing inward (toward each other) throughout the entire movement. This neutral-grip orientation reduces shoulder joint stress and recruits the upper chest and front deltoids while encouraging natural wrist alignment.

How to Perform

  • Set an adjustable bench to a 30–45 degree incline and sit back, holding a kettlebell in each hand with palms facing each other
  • Position the kettlebells at chest level beside your shoulders, keeping palms oriented inward
  • Press both kettlebells upward along a slight arc until your arms are fully extended and the weights are directly above your chest
  • Keep your palms facing each other throughout the entire press
  • Slowly lower the kettlebells back to chest level under control
  • Maintain a braced core and flat back against the bench for the full set
