About this exercise

The Kettlebell Incline Inner Biceps Curl is performed on an incline bench with the elbows angled slightly inward (toward the midline) during the curl, placing greater emphasis on the inner (short) head of the biceps. The incline position provides an extended range of motion by stretching the biceps at the starting position.

How to Perform

  • Set an adjustable bench to a 45–60 degree incline and sit back, holding a kettlebell in each hand with arms hanging straight down and palms facing forward
  • Point your elbows slightly inward toward the midline of your body throughout the movement
  • Curl both kettlebells upward, keeping your elbows angled inward to emphasize the inner biceps head
  • Squeeze the biceps firmly at the top of the movement
  • Slowly lower the kettlebells back to the fully extended position, maintaining the inward elbow angle
  • Avoid swinging the torso or allowing the elbows to flare outward
