Step by step instructions, muscle activation and variants for the Kettlebell Incline Biceps Curl.

EasyBiceps

About this exercise

The Kettlebell Incline Biceps Curl is performed lying back on an incline bench, which places the arms behind the body and creates a stronger stretch on the long head of the biceps at the bottom of each rep. Both kettlebells are curled simultaneously, maximizing time under tension and stretch-mediated hypertrophy for the biceps.

How to Perform

  • Set an adjustable bench to a 45–60 degree incline and sit back, holding a kettlebell in each hand with arms hanging straight down and palms facing forward
  • Keep your upper arms vertical and stationary against the bench pad throughout the movement
  • Curl both kettlebells upward by flexing your elbows until the weights reach shoulder level
  • Squeeze the biceps at the top of the movement
  • Slowly lower the kettlebells back to the fully extended position, feeling the stretch at the bottom
  • Repeat for the desired number of reps without swinging the arms or body
