About this exercise
The Kettlebell Hanging Sumo Squat is a wide-stance squat where a single kettlebell hangs straight down between the legs, gripped by the handle with both hands and arms fully extended. The wide, toes-out stance and low hanging load shift emphasis onto the glutes and inner thighs while the quadriceps drive the movement. Because the weight stays below the hips throughout, the exercise loads the legs heavily without any pressing or upper-body carry at chest height.
