About this exercise

The kettlebell double snatch is a high-skill total-body exercise in which two kettlebells are swung and pulled overhead in one explosive movement. It develops power, coordination, and muscular endurance across the entire posterior chain and shoulders simultaneously.

How to Perform

  • Stand over two kettlebells with feet slightly wider than shoulder-width
  • Hinge at the hips and grip both kettlebells, engaging your lats and core
  • Swing both kettlebells back between your legs to load the hips
  • Explosively drive your hips forward and shrug your shoulders to generate upward momentum
  • Pull the kettlebells up along your body with your elbows high
  • Punch your fists upward and through the handles to lock both kettlebells overhead
