About this exercise

The kettlebell double push press uses a leg dip to generate momentum before pressing two kettlebells overhead simultaneously, allowing heavier loads than a strict press. It is an effective exercise for building shoulder strength, triceps power, and total-body coordination.

How to Perform

  • Clean two kettlebells to the rack position at shoulder height with elbows tucked
  • Stand tall with feet shoulder-width apart and core engaged
  • Perform a quick, shallow dip by bending your knees and hips
  • Immediately drive upward with your legs, using the momentum to initiate the press
  • Press the kettlebells to full arm extension overhead in one fluid motion
  • Hold the lockout briefly with arms straight and body stable
  • Lower the kettlebells back to the rack position under control and repeat
