About this exercise

Explosive plyometric exercise that combines a squat with a jumping-jack leg action, rapidly widening and closing the feet while maintaining a low squat depth. It challenges the inner and outer thighs, glutes, and cardiovascular system simultaneously.

How to Perform

  • Stand with feet together and lower into a shallow squat position
  • Jump explosively, spreading your feet out wide as you leave the ground
  • Land softly in a wide squat position, absorbing impact through bent knees
  • Immediately jump again, bringing your feet back together beneath you
  • Land with feet together in the starting squat position
  • Keep your chest up and back straight throughout
  • Continue the in-and-out jumping motion for the prescribed duration
