About this exercise

The Jumping Jack Toe Touch combines a standard jumping jack with a toe-touch reach at the top of the jump, adding a hip-hinge demand that stretches the hamstrings and challenges coordination. It is an effective full-body cardio exercise suitable for warm-ups and conditioning circuits.

How to Perform

  • Stand with feet together and arms by your sides
  • Jump your feet wide and simultaneously swing both arms overhead as in a standard jumping jack
  • At the top of the movement, hinge at the hips and reach both hands down toward your toes or the floor
  • Return to an upright position, then jump your feet back together and lower your arms
