About this exercise

The Jumping Air Bike Arm Swing is a plyometric cardio exercise that mimics the pumping motion of cycling. You alternate driving your knees up while swinging the opposite arm forward, all while performing a light jump or hop to elevate your heart rate and challenge coordination.

How to Perform

  • Stand tall with feet hip-width apart and arms relaxed at your sides
  • Begin with a small hop to get into rhythm
  • Drive your right knee up while swinging your left arm forward
  • Simultaneously push your left arm back as you switch to drive your left knee up
  • Swing your right arm forward to mirror the opposite movement
  • Keep a slight bounce or hop with each knee drive to maintain momentum
  • Continue alternating in a fluid cycling motion for the desired number of repetitions
