EasyCalvesCardio

About this exercise

A classic cardio and coordination exercise using a jump rope to elevate heart rate, improve footwork, and strengthen the calves. Regular skipping builds cardiovascular endurance and rhythm while being low-cost and portable.

How to Perform

  • Stand with feet together, holding one handle of the rope in each hand with elbows close to your sides
  • Swing the rope overhead by rotating your wrists in small, controlled circles
  • Jump off both feet as the rope swings under them, clearing it with a small hop — roughly 2–5 cm off the ground
  • Land softly on the balls of your feet to absorb impact and protect your joints
  • Maintain an upright posture and keep a consistent wrist-driven rhythm throughout
  • Continue for the desired duration or number of jumps
