About this exercise

The Jab-Jab-Right Cross is a classic three-punch boxing combination that builds hand speed, shoulder endurance, and cardiovascular fitness. The two quick jabs set up the powerful finishing cross, training the coordination between a fast setup and an explosive power punch.

How to Perform

  • Assume a boxing stance with your non-dominant foot forward, knees slightly bent, and hands raised to guard position
  • Throw a quick left jab by extending your left arm forward at shoulder height, then snapping it back immediately
  • Without resetting, throw a second left jab with the same crisp extension and retraction
  • Rotate your hips and shoulders and drive a powerful right cross straight forward, fully extending your rear arm
  • Snap your right fist back to guard position after the cross
  • Keep your chin tucked and your guard hand up throughout the combination
  • Repeat the three-punch sequence at a controlled pace for the desired number of rounds or repetitions
