About this exercise

Isometric wipers are a bodyweight chest exercise performed lying on your back. You press your palms firmly together to create constant isometric tension through the chest, then sweep your arms from side to side like windshield wipers while maintaining that inward squeeze.

How to Perform

  • Lie flat on your back on the floor
  • Extend both arms straight above your chest and press your palms firmly together
  • Maintain strong isometric pressure between your palms throughout the movement
  • Slowly sweep both arms together to one side, lowering them toward the floor
  • Reverse the movement and sweep to the opposite side
  • Keep the chest squeeze active and avoid letting the palms separate
  • Complete the desired number of wiper sweeps in a controlled, deliberate manner
