HardUpper chest

About this exercise

An explosive plyometric push-up performed with hands on an elevated surface, targeting the upper chest and developing upper-body power. The incline angle reduces overall load while the plyometric intent trains fast-twitch muscle fiber recruitment.

How to Perform

  • Place your hands on a stable elevated surface (a step or bench) at shoulder-width apart
  • Step your feet back until your body forms a straight line from head to heels
  • Lower your chest toward the surface under control by bending your elbows
  • Push up explosively so that your hands briefly leave the surface
  • Land with softly bent elbows and absorb the impact smoothly
  • Immediately lower into the next rep without locking out
