About this exercise

A dynamic bodyweight combination that pairs the inchworm walkout with mountain climber knee drives. The inchworm portion challenges hamstring flexibility and shoulder stability while the mountain climbers immediately follow to elevate the heart rate and fire the core and hip flexors.

How to Perform

  • Stand with feet hip-width apart
  • Hinge at the hips, place both hands on the floor in front of your feet
  • Walk your hands forward until you reach a full plank position, keeping hips level
  • Perform four alternating mountain climbers — drive each knee rapidly toward your chest
  • Walk your hands back toward your feet
  • Push through your heels and return to standing
