About this exercise

A corrective mobility drill targeting hip adduction range of motion — the ability to move the leg inward across the midline of the body. Improving hip adduction supports groin flexibility, pelvic stability, and overall lower-body mechanics.

How to Perform

  • Lie on your side on the floor with your body in a straight line, top leg resting on a slightly elevated surface or held out of the way
  • Keep the bottom leg straight with the foot flexed
  • Slowly raise the bottom leg upward toward the midline as far as possible while keeping the pelvis stable
  • Pause at end range for 2–3 seconds
  • Slowly lower the leg back to the starting position with control
  • Repeat for the prescribed number of repetitions, then switch sides
