About this exercise

A bodyweight push-up variation performed with both hands gripping a high bar, elevating the upper body relative to the feet. The inclined angle shifts emphasis toward the lower chest and makes the movement more accessible than a standard floor push-up.

How to Perform

  • Stand facing a high bar set at approximately hip-to-chest height
  • Grip the bar with hands slightly wider than shoulder-width, arms fully extended
  • Walk your feet back until your body forms a straight diagonal line from head to heels
  • Brace your core and keep your body rigid throughout the movement
  • Lower your chest toward the bar by bending your elbows at roughly 45 degrees from your torso
  • Pause briefly when your chest is close to the bar
  • Press back up to the starting position by extending your arms
