About this exercise

Hanging toes to bar is an advanced core exercise performed while hanging from a pull-up bar, requiring you to raise straight legs until your toes touch the bar. It demands exceptional abdominal strength, hip flexor power, and lat engagement to execute with control.

How to Perform

  • Grip a pull-up bar with an overhand grip, hands slightly wider than shoulder-width
  • Hang with arms fully extended and body as still as possible
  • Engage your lats and core to prevent excessive swinging
  • Exhale and raise both legs simultaneously, keeping them straight
  • Continue lifting until your toes touch the bar
  • Hold briefly at the top, then lower your legs slowly back to the starting position
  • Maintain a controlled tempo throughout to minimize momentum
