About this exercise

An advanced calisthenics skill where the body is held perfectly horizontal while hanging from a pull-up bar with straight arms. Achieving the full front lever requires exceptional lat, core, and full-body tension, making it one of the most demanding static holds in gymnastics-based training.

How to Perform

  • Grip a pull-up bar with an overhand grip, hands slightly wider than shoulder width
  • Hang with your arms fully extended and depress your shoulder blades
  • Engage your lats, glutes, and entire core with maximum tension
  • Raise your legs and hips until your body forms a perfectly straight, horizontal line
  • Keep your arms straight, toes pointed, and every muscle braced
  • Hold the position for the desired duration without allowing your hips to drop
  • Lower back to the hanging position in a controlled manner
