HardFront shoulders

About this exercise

An advanced bodyweight skill exercise where you hold a wall-supported handstand and alternately lift one hand to tap the opposite shoulder, developing shoulder stability, pressing strength, and body tension. The wall provides balance support, allowing focus on the anti-rotation core control required to stay upright during each tap.

How to Perform

  • Stand facing a wall and place both hands on the floor about 15–30 cm away from the baseboard
  • Kick up into a handstand with your heels resting lightly against the wall for support
  • Establish a tight, hollow-body position with arms straight and core fully braced
  • Shift your weight onto one hand and lift the other hand to tap the opposite shoulder
  • Replace the hand on the floor with control before shifting weight to the other side
  • Alternate shoulder taps in a slow, controlled rhythm
  • Aim to minimize hip rotation and keep your body as still as possible between taps
  • Lower down carefully when the set is complete
