About this exercise

A wall-assisted squat variation where you hold a half-squat position and rise onto the balls of your feet. The wall provides balance support, allowing you to focus on quadriceps endurance and calf activation simultaneously without worrying about tipping forward.

How to Perform

  • Stand facing a wall with feet hip-width apart and toes a few centimetres from the wall
  • Place your hands lightly on the wall for balance
  • Bend your knees to descend into a half-squat, keeping your torso upright
  • From the half-squat position, slowly rise onto the balls of your feet (tip-toe)
  • Hold briefly on the balls of your feet
  • Lower your heels back down with control without fully rising out of the squat
  • Keep your knees tracking over your toes throughout
