About this exercise

The Half Seated Leg Circle is a core and hip-mobility exercise performed in a reclined V-sit position. One leg is held extended while the other draws large circles in the air, challenging the abs, hip flexors, and glutes simultaneously.

How to Perform

  • Sit on the floor and lean back slightly, supporting yourself with your hands behind you or holding your torso up with your core
  • Extend both legs in front of you, then lower one leg slightly and lift the other
  • Keeping your core tight, draw large slow circles in the air with the working leg
  • Complete the desired number of circles in one direction, then reverse
  • Switch to the other leg and repeat
  • Keep your movements controlled and your torso as stable as possible throughout
