About this exercise

The Half Jumping Jack (Version 2) is a low-impact cardio variation of the classic jumping jack where only the lower body jumps out while one arm raises overhead at a time, alternating sides. It provides cardiovascular conditioning while reducing joint impact compared to the full movement.

How to Perform

  • Stand upright with feet together and arms at your sides
  • Jump your feet out to shoulder-width apart while simultaneously raising one arm overhead
  • Return your feet together and lower the arm back to your side
  • Repeat, alternating which arm raises with each jump
  • Maintain an upright posture and a steady rhythm throughout
