About this exercise

Full arm rotation is a dynamic shoulder mobility exercise involving large circular movements of both arms. It lubricates the shoulder joints, activates the surrounding muscles, and is commonly used as a warm-up or cool-down movement to improve range of motion.

How to Perform

  • Stand with feet shoulder-width apart and arms extended out to your sides at shoulder height
  • Begin rotating both arms forward in large, smooth circles, keeping the arms straight
  • Gradually increase the size of the circles through a full range of motion
  • After the desired time or reps, reverse the direction and rotate the arms backward
  • Keep the chest open and avoid hunching the shoulders during the movement
