About this exercise

A dynamic plyometric combination that pairs a skater stepback lateral lunge with a simultaneous front raise of the arms, challenging lower-body power, hip stability, and shoulder endurance together. The movement trains coordination and functional athleticism while elevating the heart rate.

How to Perform

  • Stand tall with feet shoulder-width apart and arms at your sides
  • Step one foot diagonally back into a skater lunge, sinking into the standing knee
  • Simultaneously raise both arms straight forward to shoulder height
  • Drive through the standing heel to return to the starting position, lowering your arms
  • Repeat the movement on the opposite side, alternating each rep
  • Keep your chest up and core braced throughout the movement
