About this exercise

The Front Plank Toe Tap is a core and glute exercise performed from a plank position where you alternately tap each foot out to the side. The movement challenges core stability and hip abductor strength while maintaining a rigid plank throughout.

How to Perform

  • Start in a forearm or high plank position with your body forming a straight line from head to heels
  • Engage your core and keep your hips level and still
  • Tap your right foot out to the side, then return it to center
  • Tap your left foot out to the side, then return it to center
  • Continue alternating sides in a controlled rhythm
  • Avoid rotating your hips or letting them sag during the movement
