About this exercise

A corrective mobility drill targeting forearm supination — the rotational movement that turns the palm to face upward. Adequate supination range is essential for pulling exercises, carrying objects, and many daily activities involving the arm.

How to Perform

  • Sit or stand with your elbow bent to approximately 90 degrees, tucked close to your side
  • Hold your forearm in a neutral position (thumb facing up)
  • Slowly rotate your forearm outward, turning the palm to face upward as far as possible
  • Pause at end range for 2–3 seconds
  • Slowly return to the neutral starting position with control
  • Repeat for the prescribed number of repetitions, then switch arms
