About this exercise

The same prone flutter kick performed with the hips at the very edge of the bench, so the legs can move through a larger range of motion. With only the torso supported, you kick the straight legs alternately up and down, working the glutes and hamstrings.

How to Perform

  • Lie face down with your torso on the bench and your hips right at its edge
  • Hold the bench for stability and extend both legs behind you
  • Kick your legs alternately up and down through a full range
  • Keep your legs straight and glutes engaged throughout
  • Continue for the desired time or number of repetitions
