About this exercise

The fingers-down forearm stretch targets the wrist extensors by extending one arm forward with the palm facing down and fingers pointing toward the floor. Gentle overpressure from the opposite hand deepens the stretch and relieves tightness in the forearm and wrist.

How to Perform

  • Stand tall and extend one arm straight in front of you at shoulder height
  • Rotate your palm downward so the back of your hand faces up and your fingers point toward the floor
  • With your opposite hand, gently press the back of the extended hand further downward to deepen the stretch
  • Hold for 20–30 seconds while breathing steadily
  • Release slowly and switch arms
