About this exercise

An advanced bodyweight pushing exercise where your feet are elevated in gymnastic rings and your hands press from the floor, creating a decline angle that shifts emphasis onto the upper chest and anterior deltoids. The moving rings under the feet add an additional balance and core stability challenge.

How to Perform

  • Place your feet into the gymnastic rings from behind, positioning them at a height that creates a decline angle for your body
  • Walk your hands out until your body forms a straight line from shoulders to ankles
  • Grip the floor with your hands shoulder-width apart or slightly wider
  • Brace your core and glutes to keep your hips from sagging or piking
  • Lower your chest toward the floor by bending your elbows at about 45 degrees from your torso
  • Press firmly through your palms to return to the starting position
  • Keep your feet stable in the rings throughout the set
