About this exercise

The EZ barbell standing wrist curl isolates the forearm flexors by curling the wrists upward while holding an EZ bar with an underhand grip. The angled grip of the EZ bar reduces strain on the wrists compared to a straight bar, making it a comfortable choice for targeting the inner forearms.

How to Perform

  • Stand upright holding an EZ barbell with an underhand (palms-up) grip, hands shoulder-width apart
  • Let your arms hang in front of your thighs, elbows slightly bent
  • Allow your wrists to drop toward the floor to achieve a full stretch in the forearm flexors
  • Curl your wrists upward as far as possible, squeezing the forearm flexors at the top
  • Lower the bar back slowly under control to the starting position
  • Repeat for the desired number of repetitions
