About this exercise

A standing front raise using an EZ-bar to reduce wrist strain, isolating the anterior deltoid through a full arc of motion while the angled grip keeps the forearms in a comfortable semi-pronated position.

How to Perform

  • Stand with feet shoulder-width apart and hold the EZ-bar with an overhand grip at thigh level
  • Keep a slight bend in your elbows and your chest tall throughout the movement
  • Raise the bar in front of you in a controlled arc to approximately shoulder height
  • Pause briefly at the top with the bar level with your shoulders
  • Lower the bar slowly back to the starting position under control
