A neck stretch that combines gentle cervical extension with lateral inclination to lengthen the muscles on the side and back of the neck. It addresses tension in the sternocleidomastoid, scalenes, and upper trapezius, and is particularly useful after prolonged desk work or one-sided activities.

How to Perform

  • Sit or stand tall with shoulders relaxed and spine neutral
  • Slowly tilt your head back into gentle extension, looking slightly upward
  • From that position, tilt your head to one side, bringing your ear toward your shoulder
  • Hold the combined stretch for the desired duration, breathing steadily
  • Return your head to neutral, then repeat on the opposite side
