EasyGlutesQuadriceps

About this exercise

A balance and mobility drill where you stand on one leg and dynamically move the free leg, challenging lower-body stability, hip strength, and proprioception. Regular practice improves ankle and knee stability and carries over to athletic movements.

How to Perform

  • Stand tall with feet hip-width apart and engage your core
  • Shift your weight onto one foot and lift the opposite leg slightly off the floor
  • Slowly swing the raised leg forward, to the side, and behind you in a controlled arc
  • Keep the standing knee soft (slightly bent) and your torso upright throughout
  • Return the free leg to the starting position and repeat for the desired duration
  • Switch legs and repeat on the other side

About the Dynamic One Leg Stand

The Dynamic One Leg Stand is a foundational movement that builds strength and muscle through controlled, progressive overload. Train it 1 to 2 times per week with 3 to 5 working sets per session, gradually adding weight or reps as form holds up.
