About this exercise

A dynamic hip mobility exercise performed lying on your back where you rotate your bent knees from side to side in a controlled, flowing motion. It mobilizes the hips and lumbar spine, stretches the inner thighs and obliques, and serves as an effective warm-up or cooldown drill.

How to Perform

  • Lie on your back with knees bent, feet flat on the floor, and arms extended out to the sides for stability
  • Let both knees drop together toward the floor on your right side, rotating through the hips
  • Pause briefly at the bottom without forcing the knees to touch the floor
  • Lift the knees back to centre and drop them to the left side
  • Continue alternating sides at a smooth, controlled pace for the desired number of reps
