A biceps curl performed holding a single dumbbell vertically with both hands and curling it from the hips to the chest. The neutral two-hand grip emphasises the brachialis and forearms and allows a heavier load than a one-arm curl.

How to Perform

  • Stand upright holding one dumbbell vertically with both hands in front of your hips
  • Keep your elbows close to your sides
  • Curl the dumbbell up toward your chest
  • Squeeze at the top, then lower under control
  • Repeat for the desired number of repetitions
