A rotational core exercise performed seated on the floor with legs extended straight, holding a dumbbell with both hands. Keeping the legs straight increases hip flexor and lower abdominal activation, while the twisting motion targets the obliques through a full range of rotation.

How to Perform

  • Sit on the floor and hold a dumbbell with both hands in front of your chest
  • Lean your torso back to approximately 45 degrees and extend your legs straight with heels just above the floor
  • Brace your core to maintain a tall spine
  • Rotate your torso to the right, moving the dumbbell toward the floor beside your right hip
  • Return to center, then rotate to the left in a controlled motion
  • Continue alternating sides for the desired number of repetitions
