A challenging combination exercise performed seated on the floor, pairing a dumbbell military press with synchronized in-out leg raises. The overhead pressing engages the shoulders while the in-out leg movement intensely works the lower abs and hip flexors simultaneously.

How to Perform

  • Sit on the floor with a dumbbell in each hand raised to shoulder height, palms facing forward
  • Lean back slightly to an approximately 45-degree angle and lift both feet off the floor with knees bent
  • Press both dumbbells overhead as you spread your legs outward (the "out" position)
  • Lower the dumbbells back to shoulders as you bring your knees together back in (the "in" position)
  • Keep your core braced and feet off the floor throughout the entire movement
