About this exercise

A challenging rotational core exercise where you hold a dumbbell and rotate your torso side to side while keeping your feet elevated off the floor. Lifting the legs increases hip flexor and abdominal engagement compared to the standard version, making the movement significantly harder.

How to Perform

  • Sit on the floor and lean your torso back to about 45 degrees
  • Lift both feet off the floor and hold them up with knees slightly bent throughout the exercise
  • Hold a dumbbell with both hands in front of your chest
  • Rotate your torso to the right, bringing the dumbbell toward the floor beside your hip
  • Rotate to the left in a controlled arc, bringing the dumbbell to the other side
  • Continue alternating rotations while keeping your feet elevated and your lower back neutral
  • Repeat for the desired number of reps or time
