About this exercise

A dynamic core exercise that combines a rotational Russian twist with a unilateral overhead press. The movement challenges rotational stability, oblique strength, and shoulder control simultaneously, making it an effective full-core and upper-body combination drill.

How to Perform

  • Sit on the floor with knees bent, feet flat, and hold a dumbbell in one hand
  • Lean back slightly so your torso forms roughly a 45-degree angle with the floor
  • Brace your core and rotate your torso toward the side holding the dumbbell
  • From the rotated position, press the dumbbell overhead, fully extending your arm
  • Lower the dumbbell back down with control and rotate back to center
