About this exercise

The dumbbell renegade row walk combines the classic renegade row with a lateral or forward hand-walk, adding a locomotion element that challenges coordination, core stability, and back strength in a single continuous movement. It is a demanding full-body conditioning exercise.

How to Perform

  • Start in a high-plank position with both hands gripping dumbbells placed shoulder-width apart on the floor
  • Brace your core, keep your body in a straight line, and feet wide for stability
  • Row one dumbbell up to your hip, then place it back on the floor
  • Row the other dumbbell up to your hip, then place it back on the floor
  • Walk both hands and feet one step forward (or to the side), maintaining plank alignment
  • Continue alternating rows and steps for the desired number of repetitions or distance
