How to Perform

  • Lie flat on a bench holding one dumbbell in the working hand with a neutral or pronated grip, elbow flared wide
  • Plant your feet firmly on the floor and keep your back in a natural arch
  • Hold the dumbbell at chest level with your upper arm roughly perpendicular to your torso
  • Press the dumbbell straight up until your arm is fully extended
