A demanding compound core exercise that combines a seated dumbbell military press with a Russian twist while keeping your legs elevated off the floor. The simultaneous overhead pressing and rotational movement creates intense demand on both the shoulders and the entire core musculature.

How to Perform

  • Sit on the floor holding a dumbbell in each hand at shoulder height with palms facing forward
  • Lean back slightly and lift both feet off the floor, keeping your legs bent at approximately 45 degrees
  • Brace your core and press both dumbbells overhead to a full lockout
  • With dumbbells overhead, rotate your torso to one side while maintaining leg elevation
  • Return to center and then rotate to the opposite side
  • Lower the dumbbells back to shoulder height to complete one rep
  • Keep your feet off the floor throughout the entire set
