About this exercise

A compound floor exercise that combines a glute bridge with a dumbbell chest press, training the chest, triceps, and glutes simultaneously. Performing the press with the hips elevated increases glute activation and adds a core stability challenge throughout each rep.

How to Perform

  • Lie on your back with knees bent and feet flat on the floor, holding a dumbbell in each hand at chest level
  • Drive your hips up into a glute bridge and hold that position throughout the set
  • Press both dumbbells straight up above your chest until your arms are extended
  • Lower the dumbbells back to chest level in a controlled manner
  • Keep your hips elevated and core braced for every repetition
