How to Perform

  • Stand facing away from a bench, holding a dumbbell in each hand at your sides
  • Place the top of your rear foot on the bench behind you and step your front foot forward until your knee aligns over your ankle
  • Lightly grip a rack or wall with one hand for support if needed
  • Brace your core and lower your back knee toward the floor by bending the front knee
  • Descend until your front thigh is roughly parallel to the floor
  • Drive through your front heel to return to the starting position
  • Complete all reps on one leg before switching sides
