How to Perform

  • Stand on a step platform holding a pair of dumbbells at your sides with palms facing forward
  • Curl both dumbbells up toward your shoulders, fully contracting the biceps
  • At the top of the curl, rotate your palms to face forward and press the dumbbells overhead
  • Bend your elbows to lower the dumbbells behind your head into the triceps overhead extension position
  • Extend your arms back overhead to complete the triceps portion
  • Reverse the motion by lowering the dumbbells back to the curl position and returning to the start
  • Keep your elbows close to your head during the overhead extension phase
