About this exercise

A flowing bodyweight movement that transitions from the downward dog yoga position into a chest-press lowering. It combines posterior chain stretching with upper-body pushing mechanics, making it an effective warm-up or mobility drill.

How to Perform

  • Start in a high plank position with arms fully extended and core tight
  • Push your hips up and back into the downward dog position, forming an inverted V-shape
  • Hold briefly and feel the stretch through the hamstrings and calves
  • Lower your hips back toward the floor and bend your elbows, bringing your chest down in a controlled chest-press motion
  • Press back up to full arm extension and push hips back into downward dog to complete one rep
