About this exercise

A bodyweight core exercise that combines the yoga downward dog position with a dynamic knee-to-chest crunch. Starting from an inverted V-shape, you drive one knee toward your chest to contract the abdominals and hip flexors before returning to the starting position.

How to Perform

  • Begin in a downward dog position with hands shoulder-width apart on the floor, hips raised, and body forming an inverted V
  • Engage your core and shift your weight slightly forward as if moving toward a plank
  • Drive one knee toward your chest, rounding your upper back slightly to create an abdominal contraction
  • Hold the crunch position for a moment, squeezing your abs
  • Extend the leg back and return fully to the downward dog position
  • Alternate sides or complete all reps on one leg before switching
