About this exercise

Double unders are a high-intensity jump rope technique where the rope passes under your feet twice with each jump. They require greater jump height, faster wrist rotation, and precise timing compared to single jumps, making them an excellent cardiovascular and coordination challenge.

How to Perform

  • Hold the jump rope handles at hip height, with the rope behind you
  • Begin with a standard jumping rhythm to find your timing
  • Jump slightly higher than usual, keeping your body upright and core braced
  • Rotate your wrists quickly to pass the rope under your feet twice before landing
  • Land softly on the balls of your feet with a slight bend in the knees
  • Maintain a consistent rhythm and continue for the desired duration
